Satellite Bandwidth Framework Agreement
The Netherlands Ministry of Defence intends to conclude a Contract for satellite capacity for C-band and Ku-band. The general coverage area is defined as a box between 75N, 40S, 80W and 95E. Within this general area, the capacity will be concentrated in three regions:
1) Europe, including Eastern Atlantic ocean, Scandinavia, East Mediterranean and North Africa; and
2) Eastern Caribbean sea (Lesser Antilles);
3) Middle East.
Intended duration of the future contract is from the beginning of 2020 for a maximum period of 7 (seven) years.
This tender will be conducted as a restricted procedure according to Article 2.19 of the Dutch Defence and Safety Law for the procurement of materials and services 'Aanbestedingswet Defensie en Veiligheid', which law implements the European Union public procurement directive for Defence and Security (Directive 2009/81/EC).

The contracting authority is the purchase department Inkoop IT which acts on behalf of the Defence Materiel Organisation (DMO). DMO ensures that military personnel has modern, robust and safe materiel to work with.The DMO is involved in the procurement, maintenance and final turnover of the materiel. Inkoop IT is the procurement department which is responsible for the procurement of IT-related products and maintenance.
