The project Future Hemweg has the purpose to convert HW08 to a coal and biomass firing plant to increase renewable production in Employer's portfolio and reduce CO2 emissions. The project consists of the facilities required for co-firing biomass in HW08. This tender includes, but is not limited to, all installations and buildings that are required for unloading barges, cleaning of wood pellets, storing of wood pellets. The scope comprises the engineering and design, procurement, construction, commissioning, testing and optional maintenance of the Works, including all facilities required for intake of the wood pellets.

Description: based on the information requested as detailed in the Minimum requirements for Candidates, the Employer will perform a full credit assessment in accordance with internal Vattenfall credit risk policies in order to determine the financial and economic strength of the Candidate.

Description: the Candidate and/or Candidates representative entity responsible for the execution of the Works and his Sub-contractors shall as minimum requirement be certified VCA 2008 (or SCC2011 or OHSAS18001 or equivalent).

Description: for the successful implementation of the intended contract, the Candidate is required to have a thorough experience with equivalent to subject scope and ‘brownfield’ projects.
Within the last 10 years the Candidate or combination of Candidates shall have engineered, executed, built and successfully commissioned a project(s) in which:
— wood pellets are transported by means of conveyor belts with a capacity of at least 50 t/h;
— cleaned by removing metal parts/foreign objects;
— stored by means of a storage silo with a storage capacity of at least 500 m³,
including procurement of required parts and civil/electrical works equal to the Works adhere Tendered.
Within the last 5 years, the Candidate or combination of Candidates shall have had an adequate and successful experience with a project in an industrial brownfield environment within the European Union, whereby the subscribing Candidate was the main Contractor in Engineering Procurement Construction contract structure. The Candidate's reference shall have had a minimum contract value of 3 000 000 EUR.
