The expected annual demand of axles for the coming 5 years will be approximately 4 000 (four thousand) pieces divided into 11 (eleven) different types, both motor- and trailer axles. In the future it is very likely that the total amount of 11 different axle types will be extended with more types. This is a consequence of new train types that NS is developing and buying.

At the moment most of the trains of NS (Dutch Railways) are equipped with tyred wheels.
NS has decided to replace these tyred wheels by monobloc wheels for these types of Trains.
For the implementation NedTrain, the maintenance company of NS, is searching for Candidates who are able to develop and deliver monobloc wheels as a replacement for the tyred wheels.
