The agreed Services in Phase I must be completed by 31st of December 2022. The duration of the contract for Phase I can be extended twice by Contracting Authority with each time a maximum of six months.

The Contract provides fora 'go/no go' moment at the end of Phase Ion 31th December 2022. At that moment, the Contracting Authority may terminate the Contract for Services without performing Phase II in the event that financing of the construction will not be facilitated by the Dutch State, or if the Contractor is deemed unsuitable for performing Phase II, to be determined at the discretion of the Contracting Authority. In this case activities of Phase I that not have yet been completed, will be terminated immediately unless the Contracting Authority decides otherwise. In case there is a positive decision by the Dutch government regarding the continuation of the PALLAS-project, the advising activities of Phase I can continue in Phase II. The agreed Services in Phase II will be performed during a period of four years. The Contracting Authority has the possibility to extend the duration for Phase II, subject to a three-month notice period, until the completion of the reactor.
