The motivation for entering into a framework agreement with the aforementioned term is the intended long term replacement program for (obsolete) data communication equipment. The replacement programme for approximately 1.400 stations (RTU’s) is 10 years. Gasunie wants to avoid risks regarding interoperability between several brands of PLC’s and software incompatibility. Therefore the maximum term of the contract is 10 years (6+2+2), with a ‘last buy’ option.
