Last Resort Radio

Ministerie van Defensie

The Netherlands Ministry of Defence (NLMOD) needs 66 new UHF Last Resort Radio's.
The UHF last resort radio (225 - 400 MHz; NATO Band I) guarantees safe air traffic communication in case of failure of the primary system (the Voice Communication System).
The Last Resort Radio's needs to function in two different types of locations: in air traffic control towers at the military airports and on ‘out of area’ locations, where the radio needs to operate as a stand-alone unit with its own power supply and antenna.
Subsequently, maintenance is required for at least three (3) years. This maintenance will be mostly Depot Level Maintenance (mostly repairs of the radios), and some Intermediate Level Maintenance (ILM). Most ILM as well as Operator Level maintenance (OLM), will be performed bij NLMOD personnel.
We expect that NLMOD personnel will install the new radio's and discard the old radio's at the various sites, but if for whatever reason this is impossible at one, several or all sites, installation of the new radio's and discarding the old radio's at one, several or all sites has to be performed by the Counterparty. This will be included as an option.
The contracting authority has the intention conclude the agreement with the tenderer whose tender is assessed as the Most Economically Advantageous Tender (MEAT).
