Prospects is operational in 8 countries of the Middle East and the Horn of Africa: Iraq, Lebanon, Jordan, Egypt, Ethiopia, Sudan, Uganda and Kenya. Programmatically, it focuses on three key areas: protection, education and livelihoods, as well as all relevant cross-cutting issues. Intervention modalities and levels of operational cooperation per country are decided by the five partners, who work on the basis of the joint Multi-Annual Country Programmes (MACPs), updated on yearly basis. Country-level operations are coordinated by the prospects Country Teams (CTs) working on the basis of country-level governance structures. The partnership is further articulated at the global level by the Multi-Annual Global and Regional Plan (MAGRP), and operationally supported by a Global Steering Committee, which includes HQ-level representatives from all five organisations and representatives of the Ministry.

A mid-term evaluation (MTE) has been planned in Q2 – Q4 of 2021 with a specific goal to evaluate Partnership’s internal structures and processes and assess their fitness for the purpose of transforming the humanitarian-development cooperation in the situations of protracted displacement. The Ministry also seeks to continue the review process past the MTE for the duration of the project, in an iterative loop consisting of regular direct consultations, targeted advice on key decision-making moments and targeted learning deliverables including additional technical papers.
