This assignment pertains the services for Transport As A Service (TAAS) on the Container Exchange Route (CER). The two main activities are:
— Phase I: develop an autonomous solution on the CER track, which can be manned in mixed traffic situations at the sites of the participants;
— Phase II: carry out the transport assignment while connecting and servicing additional participants.
In addition two optional assignments may be awarded in the future:
1) a further development assignment resulting ultimately in a fully autonomous solution both at the CER track and (in mixed traffic situations) at Sites of Participants; and
2) one extension of the contract duration with a certain period.

The CER is based on a dedicated infrastructure, common logistics agreements and ICT systems that interconnect the port’s container facilities at the Maasvlakte. Using this network, the TAAS-provider will transport the containers with an autonomous solution to their destination, fast and efficiently.
