Gulfstream G650 Pilot Training
In 2021 the Royal Netherlands Air Force (RNLAF) is planning to replace its G-IV aircraft by a Gulfstream G650. The current flight crew needs to qualify to operate the newly acquired G-650 airplane.
Therefore the RNLAF has a requirement for G650 initial and recurrent type rating courses for a period of 3 years with an option to extend the contract with a maximum of 2 more years.
In first instance the current crew needs to be trained so they are qualified to operate the new aircraft when it will be operational. It is the RNLAF's intention to have at least one crew trained and qualified to operate the G650 by 1 August 2021. For this purpose EASA G650 approved initial type rating training is required. For the consecutive year(s) the crew has to remain current, for which recurrent training and checking is required. Besides type rating training also some specific training and courses to the operations of the G-650, such as EVAS training and G650RNP AR APR, is required.
