The University of Amsterdam (UvA) and Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences (AUAS) have a collection of digitised and digital-born objects, mostly from the library, museum and archive collections for which the library is responsible. Currently, the library has no structural solution for storage, access and long-term preservation of these materials.
The library of the UvA and AUAS has taken into production a digital depot: a structural solution for the storage, access and long-term preservation of digitised and digital-born objects, according to the OAIS-model, as is the best practice for museums, archives and libraries. This will be based on one license.
