The Leiden Institute of Chemistry is out to tender for the procurement of a microscope capable of performing both confocal and super-resolution imaging. The microscope will be used for various fundamental research lines as well as research geared towards drug and immunotherapy development.
A fluorescence microscopy system must be supplied and installed that is capable for performing confocal fluorescence microscopy, super-resolution, as well as conventional light microscopy on a wide variety of samples, including live cells, brain slices and 75 nm thick cryo-sections. The microscope must be able to perform live cell confocal and super-resolution imaging, particularly of photo-sensitive cells. It must also be capable of performing super-resolution imaging of ultra-thin sections. It must also be able to perform workflows that consist of both confocal Abbe-diffraction limited resolution experiments, and super-resolution experiments combined on the same sample. The microscope must have a state-of-the-art reliability and must be compatible with Dutch work environment safety regulations (ARBO).
