The contract covers the onboarding, deployment and support of a new OpenStack cluster. This cluster will be based on a so-called hyperconverged setup. The initial size of the cluster is 3 infrastructure nodes and 15 OpenStack nodes with a total usable storage capacity of about 155 TB. The new cluster is required to run on the Ubuntu Linux operating system (OS). As part of a separate tender, Naturalis will acquire hardware that is certified for running the 18.04 LTS version of this OS. Naturalis employs its own personnel with experience of the management and maintenance of the environment. However, in the event of changes in the number of FTEs (own personnel), more complex modifications, extensions and upgrades, Naturalis is seeking a supplier for advice and support.
