This call for tender is about the delivery and installation of the new system for luggage lockers to replace the existing system, delivery and installation of a new total solution of luggage lockers and 24/7 support.
Initially the focus will be on equipping the existing luggage lockers with a new system, making use of the existing physical lockers. The current physical luggage lockers (steel) are still in good condition and NS wishes to maintain them from a sustainability point of view. However, the current system of the luggage lockers is outdated and the current payment terminal is end of life in December 2019 and therefore need to be replaced. After the replacement of the system on the existing luggage lockers, NS also wants the possibility to place a new total solution on existing or new stations.

NS Stations currently operates luggage lockers on 28 stations with a total of 2 400 luggage lockers and 130 control panels.

NS intends entering into a contract for a period of 4 years with the possibility to extend with 4 x 1 year.
Notwithstanding the foregoing, the part of the contract concerning 24/7 Support will have a duration of 4 years with the possibility to extend with 11 x 1 years.

In view of the close interwovenness between the software and 24/7 Support of the Total Solution, the aforementioned term has been chosen.
