Stichting Voorbereiding Pallas-reactor ("Pallas") was formed in order to realise a new multipurpose nuclear reactor in Petten, Noord-Holland (the "Pallas-reactor. The Nuclear Health Centre ("NHC") is one of the Pallas facilities enabling research, development and clinical trials commercial production of radio-chemicals (start material) and radio-pharmaceuticals (medicines). The Construction of a GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) production building will enable the NHC to produce the radio-chemicals and radio-pharmaceuticals.
Pallas is pleased to invite companies to express their interest in participating in a tender by submitting a Pre-Qualification Questionnaire (PQQ) for the provision of structural design for the Nuclear Health Centre.
Pallas wishes to appoint a single contractor for this work package in accordance with European tendering law.

Though the building is relatively simple, the floors will be heavily used. The hot cells are built out of solid concrete of lead. The walls of these hot cells are up to 4 meters high and 1 meter thick (depending on the shielding calculations). Furthermore heavy trolleys with casks will be transported and cask will be transported via overhead cranes. A thorough set up, calculation and check of the construction of the whole building is therefore key.
