RFI Real Time Monitoring
NS intends to conclude a framework agreement under which further agreements can be concluded. The purpose of these agreements is the realisation of an on-premises RTM-Operations application which serves NS' maintenance process.
The RTM Operations solution consists of 1 or more software components that are capable of delivering the desired RTM-maintenance functionality to the end users such as described in Appendix 07a 20160411 RTM general information and solution architecture description v 2,6 The trains that are in scope of this RTM project are: DDZ, VIRM and SLT. Future trains such as, but not limited to Flirt, SNG, ICNG are not in the immediate scope of this RTM project, however, the RTM solution must be capable to include these train series in the relative near future, so they must be included in the sizing of the solution.
The Framework agreement will be concluded for a period of 4 years, after which NS has the possibility to extend the agreement up to four (4) times with one (1) year.
The RTM Operations solution is the main subject of this tender. This solution supports the Operational repair process of NedTrain in a real time fashion. It helps users to prioritise actions based on the flow of incoming RTM data, it provides proper overview to users for dealing with large numbers of incoming alerts and it supports the repair process with real time information on mobile devices.
In scope:
1. The RTM Operations software solution including (RTM Operations Core solution and mobile solution). This solution consists of 1 or more software components that are capable of delivering the desired RTM Operations functionality to the end users such as described in Appendix 7;
2. Configuration of the software;
3. Implementation of the software including training of key users;
4. Support on the software;
5. Continued improvement of the software;
6. Optional: re-transition services.
Out of scope:
1. RTM Data acquisition, transport and preparation. The IT solutions, both on board and at the wayside, which are necessary to collect the various types of train generated data (referred to as RTM data) and present it in a generic form, as described in Appendix 07a 20160411 RTM general information and solution architecture description v2,6. This consists of software running on train specific systems, software on onboard train generic systems, software providing the necessary communications services, and software on the wayside to receive, decode and where applicable transfer data into a usable, readable format (conversion or preparation software).
2. The RTM Analytics solution. Where RTM Operations only stores data for a period sufficient to support the end user in his or her operational work, the RTM Analytics solution stores all data from the RTM enabled trains and way side sensors for much longer period of time, allowing for much more in-depth data analysis scenario's. RTM Analytics may receive enriched events and diagnostic reports from the RTM Operations solution where applicable. Also, as the RTM Analytics solution resides in the central NS Business Intelligence and Analytics platform, data from all sorts of other sources is available there as well. This allows for research to take place on combined datasets easily. Users of this environment are researchers (BSc / MSc / PhD level).
