Metocean desk study Hollandse Kust
The purpose of the assignment will be to provide the meteorological and oceanographic (metocean) conditions to serve as input for the design, installation and maintenance of wind turbines, inter array cables, substations and their support structures at Wind Farm Zones Hollandse Kust (noord) and Hollandse Kust (zuid). The analysis is to be based on the best possible data sources, be carried out with state-of-the-art methods and be in accordance with offshore standard DNV-OS-J101 (or equal or better or an updated version if available).
The scope of work will comprise the following activities:
1. Provide a general characterization of the metocean climate at the site (e.g. dominant tides, storm severity, spatial uniformity of conditions).
2. Analyse metocean conditions of:
o Wind
o Waves
o Currents
o Water levels
o Joint probability distributions
o Other parameters
3. Summarize the approach and results (tables, graphs) of one representative output location in a separate report for each wind farm zone (one for Hollandse Kust zuid and one for Hollandse Kust noord). This output location will be proposed by the contractor and approved by RVO.
4. Provide a digital metocean database that will enable obtaining output (tables, graphs) at any requested location within the site boundaries of Hollandse Kust (noord) and (zuid).
5. Validate and update the reports and database when the final metocean field measurements at Hollandse Kust (zuid) become available in mid-2017.
