The air conditioning shell of the VIRM trainsets consists of three major parts:
— A tub, collects the water (rain and condensate) and drains and the air flow passed through condensers and heaters;
— A frame as a load-bearing structure and for the attachment of components such as the compressor and capacitors;
— A cover for guiding the air flow and a walkway at the roof.
During the revision work on the (V) IRM- air conditioning units is an unforeseen problem detected on the tubs (to collect spills). The tubs are strongly corroded in several places, with the result that all original IRM tubs must be replaced. It concerns here 3 types of tubs (divided over three variants — type 101, type 102, type 103). It concerns the supply of basic tubs, final assembly will be executed by NedTrain. All the specifications are quantified and prepared for production. Changes or adjustments to the product or materials are not desirable. The work scope consist.
— Machining aluminum plates
— Welding aluminum parts
— Conservation work /Apply Coating.
