Ultra high vacuum sputter deposition system

Technische Universiteit Delft

QuTech is a co-operation between TUDelft and TNO (The Dutch organization for applied scientific research), which aims to develop the building blocks for the first quantum computer. Over the last years, quantum research in Delft has been at the forefront of new developments. Examples are discoveries in superconductor and semiconductor-based qubits, the discovery of the Majorana fermion and demonstration of quantum teleportation between two chips separated by 3 meters. QuTech is currently expanding its infrastructure for the fabrication of quantum chips. Goal of this tender is the procurement of an ‘Ultra-high vacuum sputter-deposition system’, optimized for high-quality superconducting films. The scope of the project is the realization of a fully functional sputtering system with loadlock and separate preparation chamber.
