Touch Input Devices for the AAA System
Air traffic control the Netherlands (ATC-NL) is a Dutch independent administrative organisation that is responsible for providing air traffic services to civil air traffic in the Dutch airspace in a safe, efficient, and environmentally sensible way. In the Dutch Aviation Act this and all other tasks of ATC-NL have been laid down. Besides the provision of air traffic services these tasks consist of the provision of communication, navigation and surveillance services (including the modernization and management of these technical systems), giving aeronautical information, catering for air traffic control training and providing aviation charts and publications. In short, ATC-NL is responsible for the control of Dutch civil airspace as well as parts of the North Sea area and everything related thereto. ATC-NL became operational in 1923 and since 1993 as a so called ‘Independent Administrative Body (ZBO)’.
ATC-NL is by law the assigned air navigation service provider for civil air traffic control services in the Dutch civil airspace. From an economic and a safety perspective, the Amsterdam Advanced Air traffic control System (AAA) and Phoenix System are vital technical components in Air Traffic Control, enabling the display of flight data and radar data at the controller working positions. At these controller working positions, the air traffic controller interacts with the AAA-System using touch screen monitors as the AAA Touch Input Devices. These touch screen monitors — refered to as AAA-TIDs — are integrated in the topdesk of the controller working position, directly in front of the large radar display screen.
This tender procedure — reference number PRA-2091_2 — is aimed at the purpose of renewal all AAA-TIDs in use at ATC-NL and cater for the required quantities that for realizing additional controller working positions located at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol. Due to the fact that at this time it cannot accurately be foresseen what the exact amount of AAA-TIDs is, the Tender caters for an option to procure future small batches of AAA-TIDs.
Please note that this tender procedure is the follow-up on the tender procedure with reference PRA-2091. The technical requirements in that tender could not be met by various Tenderers and therefore has that tender not led to an award.
Scope of Supply.
The scope of supply consists of the design, composition, construction, delivery and maintenance support services for new and future-proof Touch Input Devices that shall be connected to the existing AAA System.
Equipment: Delivery of 200 AAA-TIDs (including spare units)Delivery of Documentation
Services: Designing the new AAA-TID based on standard off-the-shelve OEM components Acquiring the required OEM Components Construct a housing and to install the OEM components in itFit for purpose test of the first 2 production AAA-TIDs at ATC-NL headquarter prior to full production Production and delivery of the AAA-TIDs Maintenance support services (4th line support) until 2020
Options: Maintenance services (4th line support) until 2025 Additional AAA-TIDs in 2 batches of 15 pieces for future extensions.
