Continium Discovery Center Kerkrade (Museum for Industry and Society Foundation) has started a building project of two new visitors' centres at the Museumplein in Kerkrade on 1.9.2014. The new buildings are to be completed in July 2015 and are bound to be opened for the public in October 2015. This tender relates to the selection of a company for the audio-visual equipment design and delivery of C-City.
Continium wishes to tender the audio-visual part of the project C-City trough design-build contracting, within which four ‘lots' are included. These ‘lots' are all Audiovisual installations which hold different functions.

Minimumeisen:

The candidate tenderers should have adequate financial and economic resources at their disposal in order to carry out the commission satisfactorily without financial risk for the contracting authority, even if the execution is delayed for a longer time due to unforeseen circumstances.

The company commissioned with the project is on request required to hand in the following evidence and/or statements with regard to their financial and economic standing within 7 working days from the date the contracting authority first requested them to do so.

— With respect to their solvency the candidates must hand over on first request their accounts drawn up by independent auditors and covering the last 3 financial years. Solvency is defined as the ratio between equity and total assets (equity/total assets). Equity is the sum total of assets minus debts. Equity is inclusive of the capital base. This statement should give a clear insight into the candidate's solvency (equity / total assets x 100 %). The average solvency should exceed 15 % over the financial years 2011, 2012 and 2013. In case of combined firms, all firms within the combination should meet this requirement.

— With respect to their liquidity the candidates must hand over on first request the accounts drawn up by independent auditors and covering the last 3 financial years. Liquidity is defined as the ratio between current assets and current liabilities as shown in the accounts (current assets / current liabilities). Current assets are assets in which capital is invested for a period shorter than 1 year. Examples of current assets are liquid assets, accounts receivable and stock inventories. Current liabilities are defined as all liabilities to be settled within the fiscal year. Examples of current liabilities are trade payables, other creditors, costs and taxes to be settled short-term loans. This statement should supply evidence of an average liquidity ratio (current assets/current liabilities) which equals or exceeds 0,5 over the financial years 2011, 2012, 2013.
