Description: The Project requires multi-disciplinary expertise: the impact areas include deforestation, living wage and working conditions, toxic load (by agro-chemical use) and smallholder inclusion and livelihoods. Gender equality is integrated in the sectors and not addressed as specific impact theme.

Description: IDH manages 11 commodity programs. For the impact evaluation a sample of programs has been selected for in-depth analyses. These programs include: tea, cotton, cocoa, coffee, pulp and paper, spices, fruits & vegetables and apparel.
It is required that the Participant demonstrates experience in at least 3 out of the 8 selected programs.
The Participant will demonstrate this by submitting a maximum of 3 references.

Description: IDH has selected 8 proof of concept projects for impact assessments. These projects are located in the following countries: Uganda, Ethiopia, Ghana, Cote d'Ivoire, Zambia, Kenya, Malawi, and Indonesia, Vietnam, India.
The Participant should show experience in at least 4 of the following countries: Uganda, Ethiopia, Ghana, Cote d'Ivoire, Zambia, Kenya, Malawi, and Indonesia, Vietnam, India.
The Participant will demonstrate this by submitting a maximum of 4 references.
Description: The Theory of Change of IDH is based on driving market transformation processes on basis of changing business practices, improving sector governance and creating field level change in agricultural commodity markets and selected non-agricultural commodity markets such as apparel.

Criteria: Ability to assess and simplify complex matters into understandable and digestible diagnostics for a multi-stakeholder audience Description: The change management processes that IDH tries to introduce consist of complex processes. There will be an overload of information coming out of the various M&E systems and studies. It will be up to the Participant to synthesize and support IDH in communicating changes and impacts to both a public and private audience. The Participants will submit a maximum of five (5) references of evaluation assignments of complex interventions (multi-stakeholder and/or multiple interventions). The references will be rated on basis of: Size of multi-stakeholder initiative: — < 5 stakeholders is 1 point — > 5 stakeholders is 2 points Multitude of simultaneous interventions: — < 2 interventions is 1 point — > 2 interventions is 2 points Budget of assignment: — < EUR 100 000 is 1 point — > EUR 100 000 is 2 points Duration of intervention: — < 1 year is 1 point — > 1 year is 2 points Requirements: a maximum of 5 references. Criteria: Relevant experience in the type of evaluation
Description: As clarified in section 3.1 that IDH is not aiming to conduct a classical project evaluation Instead the Participant should be able to assess the contribution and attribution of the IDH change management approach. Capturing this change management process requires co-creation of the evaluation design between IDH and the Participant and the agility of the Participant to adjust the evaluation design over time when new realities emerge. The Participant is required to demonstrate experience with change management. Participant who can demonstrate experience in a qualitative evaluation of change management processes are rewarded 2 points per reference. A maximum of 5 references can be submitted.
