This tender relates to the procurement by NS for brake pads, both for the service up to 140 km/h and for the service up to 160 Km/h, for any rolling stock used or to be used by NS Reizigers B.V., or any other rolling stock serviced by NS, excluding new rolling stock with warranty obligations.
Based on the maximum speed at which the trains are placed in service NS will classify their need, in 2 lots.
Candidates may participate in this tender for one of these lots or for both lots.
The complete specifications will be provided in the Request For Proposal phase. However important to know in this phase:
Lots:
— General: The brake pads are, in the present situation, used on cast iron brake discs for both Axle and Wheel;
— Lot 1 — 140 km/h: The brake pads need to comply with the UIC 541-3 requirements;
— Lot 2 — 160 km/h: The brake pads need to have a homologation according to the UIC 541-3 requirements.
