For the purpose of the procurement itself, GEANT Ltd, which is controlled by the GÉANT Association, will carry out this procurement for the GÉANT Association, under the UK Public Contract Regulations 2006.
The intention through this formal procurement process is to appoint a single Bidder to audit both the GÉANT Association and GEANT Limited with respect to their required statutory audits for a 3 year period covering the financial years 2015-17, and during this 3 year period to also provide audit services with respect to the various European Community (EC) Grant Contracts that are currently managed by both GEANT Limited and the GÉANT Association.

The GÉANT Association ultimately wishes to appoint a single Bidder for the Audit Services performed for the Group and this Invitation to Tender is constructed with only 1 Lot. Any resultant Contract may be awarded in parts dependent upon regulatory and compliance factors in the countries where the Audit Services are performed. Therefore, it is understood that specific contractual terms, including letters of engagement, between GÉANT Association and GEANT Ltd and the successful Bidder may be drawn up involving the local entities of the successful Bidder.

Informatie over termijnen voor beroep:
GEANT Limited will incorporate a standstill period at the point information on the award of the contract is communicated to tenderers. That notification will provide full information on the award decision. The standstill period, which will be for a minimum of 10 calendar days provides time for unsuccessful tenderers to challenge the award decision before the contract is entered into. The [Public contracts regulations 2006 (SI 2006 No 5) provide for aggrieved parties who have been harmed or are at risk of harm by a breach of the rules to take action in the High Court (England, Wales and Northern Ireland).
