Supply of EMU rolling stock for The Netherlands
Manufacture and supply (supply contract) of railway vehicles for the operation of railway services in public passenger traffic on tracks Zwolle — Enschede and Zwolle — Kampen. Only new vehicles ‘direct from the manufacturer’ will be considered: electrically driven, multiple-unit train-sets (EMU). The train-sets must in particular fulfil the requirements and network access criteria of Prorail as well as the homologation criteria for passenger rail vehicles in The Netherlands, stated by ILT. The scope of the contracts can vary depending upon the requirements of the contracting entity, ranging between approx. 15 and 25 train-sets per order in different configurations. The train-sets must be homologated and ready for operation in The Netherlands on 1.11.2017. It is possible that the contracting entity may transfer its rights and obligations from the supply to a leasing or financing provider or that these rights and obligations will be directly taken over by the leasing or financing provider.
