Delivery of Short Range Tactical Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (SRTUAV) systems including sustainment support

Ministry of Defence, Defence Materiel Organisation

Delivery of Short Range Tactical Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (SRTUAV) systems including delivery of engineering and maintenance and logistic support. The quantity of systems is 3 with optional delivery of 2 systems. A system is considered to be a ground segment (ground station, launch and recovery element, support equipment) and at least 2 air vehicles (Unmanned Aircraft). The SRTUAV will be used primarily for detecting, classifying, identifying and following of contacts at sea, near the coastline and at land. Furthermore the system will be used for classifying, identifying possibly following of contacts that have been detected with other sensors. Therefore it is essential that the systems can operate from both land as well as from ships (frigates, ocean patrol vessels, landing platform docks). The system shall have a line of sight range of at least 70 Km (40 NM) and an endurance of at least 12 hours at 1 500 m (5 000 Ft) density altitude. Delivery of the systems is desired mid 2016 or earlier. Both the engineering and maintenance and logistic agreements will have a period of performance equal to the expected service life of the systems which has been estimated by the DMO to be 10 years and will be concluded concurrently with the procurement agreement.
