Wind Farm Logistics China
Wind Farm Logistics for on- and off shore locations is a more specific field within WELM. As this is completely new for the Asian region, this WFL-environment will be built from scratch and supported by a long lasting relationship between SMU and the project partners.
At the same time this environment can become a trustful link towards the Chinese Windfarm operators for commercial contacts and contracts.
The practical situation consist of main lines:
1) a Knowledge & Innovation Center (KIC) on Wind Farm Logistics where education and practice come together in building the future-oriented knowledge base for this work field,
2) an educational/practical Training Center (TC) to train and/or educate the staff of commercial wind farm operators and SMU staff and students.
This project will set-up the structure of both centers and fill the knowledge data base as far as possible with free and relative information, based on a portal system. For the training center partners will set-up a modular system of training- and education courses in such a way that both training and education on BSc and post graduate level can be applied. Thus, it is possible for universities to synchronize with these activities for own educational developments and start-up close cooperation and/or exchange.
