Construction contract Quarnstedt compressor station

Construction of the Gas Technical Installations, electrical installation and civil works for the new compressor station at Quarnstedt (near Neumünster) Germany. Fully in accordance with the German regulations, DVGW requirements, the Gasunie Deutschland technical standards and Pipeline Integrity management system (PIMS procedures).
GASUNIE intends to erect a new gas compressor station in Quarnstedt. The station is located approx. 15 km southwest of Neumünster. The new compressor station shall increase the transport capacity of H-Gas in Northerly-Direction.
Experience in construction of compressor stations in Germany is required due to the German regulations and standards (such as but not limited to DVGW, WHG, Deutsches Baurecht).
The compressor station (CS Quarnstedt) consists of inlet filter separators, three gas driven compressors trains inclusive station gas cooler and respective suction and discharge headers. Furthermore utility systems exist as fuel gas system for gas turbines and station heating, condensate collection system, electrical systems, and instrument air system. The pipe headers and compressor runs can be individually vented through dedicated vent lines. The station is designed to allow for compression up to 84 barg.
Due to the local situation special attention needs to be taken for ground water handling during construction. Foundations for main buildings and equipment is required.
All required construction works shall be done by one Main Contractor (MCC). It includes – but is not limited to:
- Erection of following buildings:
o Compressor Buildings (3 units)
o Station Control Building
o Utility Building
o Fuel Gas Building
- Installation of pipe work and mechanical components
- Electrical and Instrumentation works
- Civil and HVAC works
- Commissioning of the compressor station incl. hand over to operation
Gas turbine driven compressors, exhaust stacks, main mechanical equipment, piping material, valves (PN84 class) as well as most of utility systems will be supplied by Gasunie and provided to Main Contractor.
Earliest construction shall start february 2014 whereas start of commissioning is planned for February 2015. RFQ date is 23.7.2015
