Supply of an Undulator
FOM Institute for Plasma Physics Rijnhuizen
Currently FOM uses three (3) infrared free electron lasers for research. A part of the laser construction is an undulator. One of these undulators will be replaced for a new one. In the nearest future FOM will be relocated to new location. The exact date of the relocation is not yet known. This relocation is expected to take place mid year 2012.
An undulator is an insertion device used in storage rings and free electron lasers. It consists of a periodic structure of dipole magnets.
The subject of this tender (and the agreement resulting from this tender) is design, fabrication and delivery of an undulator for FOM’s new location.
The installation and maintenance of the undulator is not part of the agreement resulting from this tender procedure.

An extract of the trade register of the Chamber of Commerce or another proof of enrolment of the prescribed official or trade registers (not older than three months) must be enclosed.

The tenderer has to have an average yearly turnover of at least 500 000 EUR over the last three (3) financial years.

The tenderer is required to provide references of similar assignments to ensure the right experience, knowledge and contacts for the assignments of FOM.

There are no requirements regarding the legal status of the consortium or the consortium of suppliers to whom the agreement is awarded. However, if a ten-der is submitted by a consortium of suppliers, every member of the group has to sign a declaration under which all companies belonging to the combination joint and several liability for the performance of the agreement. Also must indicate which of the suppliers will occur as secretary.
