Integral design team for new premises for an international organization
The project concerns the complete, integral design of the new premises for an international organization in The Hague, the Netherlands.
The building covers approximately 18 000 m2 gfa (gross floor area). The functions to be accommodated in the building are mainly office and conference facilities.
The conference function is exceedingly important.
Due to the confidential nature of the processes, the office concept is based on a traditional room concept, meaning that each employee will have a permanent workplace.
One of the key points of the design is that the design should both fit into and improve the surroundings.
The design assignment for the new premises is characterised by high safety and security requirements and the integration of these requirements into the landscape and architectural design.
The nature of the assignment is characterised by:
โ integration of various technical preconditions such as: security zoning, access control systems, alarm glass, conditioned environment, lift installation,
โ intensive coordination with the various parties inside and outside the project team,
โ creation of an effective office building, with a representative image.
The Rijksgebouwendienst intends to put out one lot for tender, namely:
โ integral design team Preliminary Design (PD) to completion.
The design disciplines that the integral design team must provide, in accordance with the various disciplines in the ABAA-DNR, are:
โ structural engineering (structural design, advice, support work in the field of design and the drawing up of architecture - and interior projects),
โ architecture,
